JKOPL - Jae Kamel's Online Public Libraries

JKOPL - Jae Kamel's Online Public Libraries

These pages are re-publications of the Public Libraries which I keep, for the use of groups I belong to, on my Skydrive, now called 'Onedrive', and on Google Drive.

All Resources are Free to view or download.

First Library: The Electric Universe (EU).
Second Library: Gurdjieff, The Work, & The Fourth Way.
Third Library: International Folk Dancing.
Fourth Library: Buddhism.

First Library: The Electric Universe (EU).
The Library folder is called HST-Electric. HST stands for the Hubble Space Telescope; and it was from looking at and studying the HST photos and the Telescope itself, that I learned of the Thunderbolts site, and all the other EU (Electric Universe) sites; those are all on our Lists. Jone participates in the Thunderbolts Forums.

The Folders: there are nine folders; here are their names in alphabetical, of course, order.
Note: for some of the applets to work, you might need a browser and operating system both containing Java from a specific year (usually the year the applet was published to the webpage it came from), Flash, possibly also from a specific year, or both. That is, in the original website, some of the applets wouldn't run if you didn't have both Java and Flash enabled; some needed only Java.
Note that virtually none of the websites are extant now; and further than many of them have decayed in the Archive. That is, Archived copies of webpages are subject to decay; and sometimes they archive a webpage that has already started to decay: links, for example to image or audio files, are already broken; or links to other websites are already broken.  Many websites die every day.
So, it is possible to view and use any of the instructional applets, but you might need knowledge of how browsers, Java, and Flash work, as well as specialized apps to substitute for browsers that won't run the applets or the pages they came from or live in. Contact me if you need any technical assistance. Note that the .zip files have been uploaded for your usage now.

For example, they might contain zipped files, or videos or audio in unusual format. Third Library: International Folk Dancing . Please note that Jone and me share this folder, and, it has been her working folder for a few of the podcasts, so some of the folder titles seem idiosyncratic and don't make sense outside of the projects she was working on at the time, for example, the "new dances" folder: some of the dances in there were made early in the 20th century; the recording made in the early days of LPs, say 1960; and so on. Not new dances, and not new recordings.
When a dance music file says "remastered", they were remastered by Dr. Jone Dae. The numbers in parenthesis show the number of files in each folder. If you are a folkdancer, note that the folder called "steps and notes" contains the "steps and styling" sheets for each dance.
