I. Community Gardens
Intro: Sites are shown from many popular geographic areas, such that different communities can see each other’s work, borrowing good ideas from each otherand perhaps networking together. Usually one site per geographic area is all that is shown. Consumer Supported Agriculture has been recently receiving media news coverage.

If Word won’t link to it, cut and paste, or link from your e-mail. 2017 DL. Workaround: http://www.opengreenmap.org/greenmap/ }we found a map that will list many of the community gardens in, in this case, Arizona. the map has instructions, but you just zoom in on Arizona until it is large enough to show individual locations. In the right-hand margin, uncheck "sustainable living" but leave the other two checked. Hover over a flag and a small pop-up will show you what it is. We checked the map's community gardens against a search engine's list for Arizona, and the greenmap was fairly complete.

At that time there were no food supplies going to Soweto as vans were overturned at every opportunity available. Two ladies Pauline Raphaely (a geologist) and Joyce Niland (a farmer's wife) saw a need and started the organization out of R100 to introduce Food Gardens in Soweto. http://www.marthastewart.com/265930/community-garden-start-up }There really are only positive effects of community gardening. It gives a community a gathering space, provides green space in urban areas, educates people -- especially children -- about the way the natural world works, and gives shelter to urban wildlife. It is also a place for people to grow their own food, and it provides a social network for reaching out to neighbors.
http://www.marthastewart.com/309519/community-garden-potluck-party }Community garden potluck party. See how a band of neighbors in Philadelphia celebrate their city lot-turned-vegetable garden with family, friends, and food. With a charming garden, a variety of plants, and seasonal recipes, you'll be inspired to plot your own community vegetable garden. The first rule of Philadelphia's Bodine Street Community Garden is that there really aren't any official rules. No one asks you to fork over membership dues (there are none), keeps tabs on how often you turn the compost, or silently seethes at the sprawl of your cucumber vines. The atmosphere at the garden, located in the Queen Village section of the city, is equal parts feel-good, family, friendly, and funky: Block parties regularly emanate from the 20 or so member gardeners, as do pumpkin festivals and potluck dinners.

If you want to sterilize it, dip it in boiling water, then let it cool and apply to minor wound. Comfrey is known for its healing qualities. It was referred to as "Knitbone" traditionally, as it is known for knitting together tissues and promoting cell growth. It was also referred to as "Bruisewort" as it is known to reduce swelling and bruising when applied to injuries as a poultice or compress. Leaves in poultices and compresses have been applied to varicose veins and arthritic joints, as well as diaper rash. Warm, smashed or bruised leaves applied to an inflamed injury are said to help reduce swelling and bruising, as well as reduce scarring.

Replacements: http://inhabitat.com/solar-powered-farm-from-a-box-is-a-compact-farm-kit-that-feeds-150-people/ }Farm From a Box is a kit designed to make it easier for all types of organizations to start growing sustainable food. Nonprofit humanitarian agencies, schools, community groups, and even individuals can buy a $50,000 kit, which comes with a complete water system including a solar-powered pump and drip irrigation system. Together, those features help conserve water by using it more efficiently, delivering water directly to the roots of growing plants. All of the kit’s components are solar-powered, so the kit also includes 3 kW of solar energy capacity which is enough to power the water pump as well as WiFi connectivity that makes it possible to monitor the farm conditions remotely. Because the built-in solar power technology generates more than enough energy to power the farm’s equipment, the farm is suitable to run completely off the grid. ...and, http://www.ssawg.org/home/2015/5/6/food-hub-starter-kit-available-online }If you are an agricultural or business professional, a farmer or a community member who is exploring the development of a food hub, our Food Hub Starter Kit contains a short, annotated list of resources that will be useful for you. View or download a copy here. Resources for the starter kit were gathered from food hub projects around the country, as well as the National Good Food Network and the USDA. https://www.tpl.org/our-work/community-gardens#sm.00005h197ss9dfhzt5422jfl742jz }In a world of asphalt and brick, New York's more than 450 community gardens provide residents rare places to relax and connect with nature. They serve as front porches and backyards—places to meet with neighbors, play, grow produce, and gather for summer cookouts. The majority of gardens were created in the 1970s and '80s, when residents of poor, minority neighborhoods began taking over abandoned lots, clearing rubble to plant beds, and grow vegetables. The city, having little use for the vacant properties, granted the gardeners temporary leases through the parks department's GreenThumb program.
https://www.nal.usda.gov/afsic/community-supported-agriculture }Community Supported Agriculture consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes, either legally or spiritually, the community's farm, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production. Typically, members or "share-holders" of the farm or garden pledge in advance to cover the anticipated costs of the farm operation and farmer's salary. In return, they receive shares in the farm's bounty throughout the growing season, as well as satisfaction gained from reconnecting to the land and participating directly in food production.
https://www.ams.usda.gov/services/local-regional/farmers-markets-and-direct-consumer-marketing }Farmers markets are an integral part of the urban/farm linkage and have continued to rise in popularity, mostly due to the growing consumer interest in obtaining fresh products directly from the farm. Intro: Sites are shown from many popular geographic areas, such that different communities can see each other’s work, borrowing good ideas from each others
and perhaps networking their areas together. Usually one site per geographic area

more politically-active, etc., some are simpler. We have avoided the big business health food stores, since there is something inappropriate about them; think of, say, Whole Foods. http://foodcoop.coop/tag/non-gmo-project/ }We want to give members the information they need to make food choices. This is the number one reason. Reason number two is that corporate agriculture dominates the national discussion, which has led to a lack of regulation about labeling. We must step it up on a local level because it is not being done on a national level. At least 26 countries have banned and/or labeled GMO food, but so far in the US, only Vermont has been able to get a label law passed. Our state tried to pass an initiative for GMO labeling, but corporate opponents of I-522 spent tens of millions of dollars to defeat it. Millions of citizens want to know what their food is made of, but millions of corporate dollars are working hard to keep GMO labeling from becoming law. Until that hopefully inevitable day comes, The Food Co-op is taking its own steps to help members connect the dots and make informed choices.

http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/tesla/esp_tesla_36.htm }The radiant energy system is a self-oscillating capacitive system. Once it is set into oscillation, very little power is expended in keeping it going. Because it is an electrostatic oscillating system, only a small amount of charge moves through the system per cycle, that is, the coulomb per seconds = amps are low. If the charge is used at a low rate, the energy stored in the system will be turned into heat at a slow rate enabling the oscillations to continue for a long period of time. Tesla's "Coil For Electro Magnets," patent #512,340 is a very special coil design because, unlike an ordinary coil made by turning wire on a tube form, this one uses two wires laid next to each other on a form but with the end of the first one connected to the beginning of the second one. In this patent Tesla explains that the double coil will store many times the energy of a conventional coil.

In theory these 4 components must be balanced and must be introduced into the body within an appropriate energy spectrum – a "biological window" as it were – in order to produce the optimum health-promoting effect. It is the difference in these signal parameters that differentiates whether an electromagnetic signal is harmful (e.g., from cell phones, microwave ovens, dishwashers, alarm clocks, or power lines) or health-promoting (e.g., pulsed magnetic fields utilized in health care and for wellness.)

http://www.crnano.org/benefits.htm }Overview: Molecular manufacturing (MM) can solve many of the world's current problems. For example, water shortage is a serious and growing problem. Most water is used for industry and agriculture; both of these requirements would be greatly reduced by products made by molecular manufacturing. Infectious disease is a continuing scourge in many parts of the world. Simple products like pipes, filters, and mosquito nets can greatly reduce this problem. Information and communication are valuable, but lacking in many places. Computers and display devices would become stunningly cheap. Electrical power is still not available in many areas. The efficient, cheap building of light, strong structures, electrical equipment, and power storage devices would allow the use of solar thermal power as a primary and abundant energy source. Environmental degradation is a serious problem worldwide. High-tech products can allow people to live with much less environmental impact. Many areas of the world cannot rapidly bootstrap a 20th century manufacturing infrastructure. Molecular manufacturing technology can be self-contained and clean; a single packing crate or suitcase could contain all equipment required for a village-scale industrial revolution. Finally, MM will provide cheap and advanced equipment for medical research and health care, making improved medicine widely available. Much social unrest can be traced directly to material poverty, ill health, and ignorance. MM can contribute to great reductions in all of these problems, and in the associated human suffering.

Our mechanical, chemical and electrical engineers and numerical modelers are working in the solar thermal (mirror) arena to look at a range of potential solutions. These include storing heat in oil, molten salts, high-temperature ceramics and as chemical reactants. Our research includes the CSIRO-developed UltraBattery. http://genesdev.cshlp.org/content/27/22/2397.full#abstract-2 }Historically, biomedical research has been based on two paradigms. First, measurements of biological behaviors have been based on bulk assays that average over large populations. Second, these behaviors have then been crudely perturbed by systemic administration of therapeutic treatments. Nanotechnology has the potential to transform these paradigms by enabling exquisite structures comparable in size with biomolecules as well as unprecedented chemical and physical functionality at small length scales. Here, we review nanotechnology-based approaches for precisely measuring and perturbing living systems. Remarkably, nanotechnology can be used to characterize single molecules or cells at extraordinarily high throughput and deliver therapeutic payloads to specific locations as well as exhibit dynamic biomimetic behavior. These advances enable multimodal interfaces that may yield unexpected insights into systems biology as well as new therapeutic strategies for personalized medicine.

This is by far the most important battery technology for energy storage since the early 1990s. It is especially important in view of the constantly increasing demand for electric vehicles, whose success is also directly linked to battery performance and resulting range extension.

Now new technology based on plastic composite materials is being researched that can create solar cells that are able to harness the sun's invisible, infrared rays. National Geographic reported in January of 2005 that scientists had combined nano particles called quantum dots with a polymer to make a plastic composite that can be sprayed onto other materials and used as portable electricity. http://www.nanowerk.com/nanotechnology-in-energy.php }Nanotechnologies provide essential improvement potentials (sic) for the development of both conventional energy sources (fossil and nuclear fuels) and renewable energy sources like geothermal energy, sun, wind, water, tides or biomass. Nano-coated, wear resistant drill probes, for example, last longer for the development of oil and natural gas deposits or geothermal energy. Further examples are high-duty nanomaterials for lighter and more rugged rotor blades of wind and tidal power plants as well as wear and corrosion protection layers for mechanically stressed components (bearings, gear boxes, etc.). Nanotechnologies will play a decisive role in particular in the intensified use of solar energy through photovoltaic systems. In case of conventional crystalline silicon solar cells, for instance, increases in efficiency are achievable by antireflection.

http://www.power-technology.com/projects/perth-wave-energy-project/ }The CETO power system is anchored to the ocean floor and operates out of sight. The technology involves tying up of an array of submerged buoys to seabed pump units. The passing oceanic waves cause the buoys to move harmonically. The pumps are driven by the moving buoys, causing the water pressure to increase. The high-pressure water is carried to shore via a pipeline. The pressurised water can be used to drive hydroelectric turbines to generate electricity. The entire process consumes zero electricity and causes zero emissions. The water can also be used to drive the pumps of a reverse osmosis plant for desalination, eliminating the consumption of electricity by the pumps.

The LFA provides a higher thrust density than any currently flying electric propulsion device and is realistically only limited in thrust by the amount of available power.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_applications_of_nanotechnology }People in the fields of science and engineering have already begun developing ways of utilizing nanotechnology for the development of consumer products. Benefits already observed from the design of these products are an increased efficiency of lighting and heating, increased electrical storage capacity, and a decrease in the amount of pollution from the use of energy. Benefits such as these make the investment of capital in the research and development of nanotechnology a top priority. Carbon nanotubes are another possible material for use in an ultracapacitor. Carbon nanotubes are created by vaporizing carbon and allowing it to condense on a surface. When the carbon condenses, it forms a nanosized tube composed of carbon atoms. This tube has a high surface area, which increases the amount of charge that can be stored. The low reliability and high cost of using carbon nanotubes for ultracapacitors is currently an issue of research. While LEDs have been around for decades, this company and others like it have been developing a special variant of LED called the white LED. White LEDs consist of semi-conducting organic layers that are only about 100 nanometers in distance from each other and are placed between two electrodes, which create an anode, and a cathode. When voltage is applied to the system, light is generated when electricity passes through the two organic layers. This is called electroluminescence. The semiconductor properties of the organic layers are what allow for the minimal amount of energy necessary to generate light.

Jesus said that people would know his disciples by their love (John 13:34,35). Restoration also means the manifestation of God's unlimited power through his church. It should occur when the gifts of the spirit flow through the people of God and work without limitations and restrictions under the direction of the Holy Spirit of divine love.

It also optimises the flow of energy through your body meridians, of which there are several types. What are body meridians? You’ve probably heard of them as acupuncture meridians. Either term is fine but relating them to the body may make more sense since qigong does not focus on specific acupuncture points.

https://biofieldtuning.com/ }Biofield Tuning is a unique non-medical therapeutic method that uses sound waves produced by tuning forks in the biomagnetic field, or biofield, that surrounds the human body to induce deep targeted relaxation. Biofield Tuning was developed by pioneering researcher and practitioner Eileen Day McKusick and is based on her 20 years of clinical inquiry into the Biofield Anatomy. It is a simple, non-invasive, and efficient method that can produce profound and powerful outcomes.

And, hopefully, will also be developing a technology based on the Biofield Tuning principles.

When that threshold is exceeded, you feel uneasy, uncomfortable—even overwhelmed—and you deal with these feelings by using one or more coping mechanisms. My view is that all so-called dysfunctional feelings and behaviors (including those I just listed above), are attempts to cope with being pushed over this threshold.

http://www.consciouslifestylemag.com/chakra-healing-energy-body-balancing/ }A chakra may be a wheel or a vortex, but it operates like a ball of energy interpenetrating the physical body. The chakras themselves are not physical; you can’t see them on an X-ray. They are aspects of consciousness, and they interact with the physical and energetic body through two major vehicles, the endocrine system and the nervous system. Each of the seven chakras is associated with one of the nine endocrine glands, and also with a particular group of nerves, called a plexus, making them important elements in healing. Thus, each chakra corresponds with particular parts of the body and particular functions within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine gland, which is they key to understanding how chakra healing methods work.

https://draxe.com/structured-water/ }Initially, water gets its charge from the sunlight or heat in the environment and then stores it within our cells. The idea behind structured water is this: Ordinary water filtration processes that have the purpose of cleaning drinking water also de-structure water molecules in the process. When the water is no longer structured the way it was intended to be, the health of your cells suffer; specifically, the protein molecules within your cells don’t work the right way. This can negatively impact muscular and tissue functioning, leaving you prone to injuries. How exactly does the water within our cells become unstructured? It’s not exactly clear yet, but one theory is that too much time spent indoors — away from natural sources of energy like the sun and the earth’s surface (imagine a clean-running mountain creek that people used to drink directly from) — could partially be to blame.http://drpompa.com/additional-resources/180_solutions/true-cellular-detox-a-top-5-strategy-to-create-your-best-health-ever }this site has a lot of pop-ups and annoying windows, etc. Still.... 180° Solution™ Strategy #5: True Cellular Detox. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2680624/ }Of the aforementioned exclusion-zone observations, a particularly significant one is charge separation. Although the overall net charge may remain zero, water in the exclusion zone is negatively charged, while the bulk-water region beyond the exclusion zone contains positive charges. The potential difference between the two regions is 100 to 200 mV, depending on the particular hydrophilic surface. Electrodes inserted into the respective zones and connected through a resistor show ample, persisting, current flow. Charge separation within water itself may seem counterintuitive, but it is surprisingly common. In cloud water for example, evidence of charge separation lies in the consequent lightning discharges, 80% of which occur from cloud to cloud. In the laboratory, the famous Kelvin water-dropper experiment shows electric discharge between juxtaposed bodies of pure water, again indicating waterbased charge separation. I experience the force of it in classes and at potlucks. We’re not all on the same page, but we have the same goal–wellbeing for all in a kinder and gentler world. http://www.personaltransformation.com/richard_moss.html }Healing has to do with a sense of meaning. Healing occurs when suffering no longer causes me to feel like a victim, or to contract, but brings me to a new sense of meaning about my life why I'm alive, what it means to be alive, what it means to be a man or a woman, what I want to share with the world around me, how I want to give myself to life. When a sense of meaning has come about, where before there was just suffering, healing has happened. That is a definition of healing at the level of how we feel or live. At the level of the physical body, healing is restoration of some function. As an organism, we are constantly repairing damage.
http://www.shen-nong.com/eng/principles/distributionmeridians.html }The twelve meridians are named according to their corresponding organs, limb positions and yin and yang properties. They include three arm yin meridians (lung, pericardium, heart), three arm yang meridians (large intestine, triple burner, small intestine), three leg yang meridians (stomach, gall bladder, bladder), and three leg yin meridians (spleen, liver, kidney). The triple burner and the pericardium refer to anatomical structures. They are functional units in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It should also be noted, the organs mentioned here have a much broader meaning in TCM then what is typically thought of their functions in western medicine. Since the twelve meridians make up the majority of the Meridian System, they are known as the regular or principal channels.
http://www.tcmbasics.com/basics_yinyang_application.htm }The Yin-Yang theory asserts that the human body is an organic whole, and there exists an organic connection between all tissues and structures. Yet, at the same time, each of them can be divided into the opposite aspects of yin and yang. Viewing the body as a whole, the portion above the waist pertains to yang and that below belongs to yin; the exterior of the body is associated with yang, while the interior is associated with yin; the back is considered yang and the front, yin; the lateral aspect is yang and the medial, yin.
http://www.tcmpage.com/hpcandidiasis.html }Triple Burner: A Concept in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Triple Burner is one of the six Yang organs in the body. It includes the Upper Burner (the Heart, and Lung), Middle Burner (the Spleen and Stomach) and Lower Burner (the Liver, Intestines, Bladder and Kidneys). As stated in the classical medical textbook, Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Medicine, "the Upper Burner opens outwards, spreads the five tastes of the food essences, moistens and pervades the skin, fills the body, and is like mist. The Middle Burner receives vital energy, expels the wastes, steams the body fluids, transforms the refined essence of food, and connects upwards with the Lungs. The Lower Burner directs the separation of the clean fluids from the dirty fluids, and facilitates the excretion of urine." Notice that the Triple Burner is described in terms of what it does. It is called a "concept" because it really exists as a function, rather than as a physical organ. In Chinese medicine, the Triple Burner regulates the activities of the other internal organs and participates in fluid metabolism.

http://www.renresearch.com/consciousness.html }Interestingly, just as my work as a computer scientist became more and more practical, my inner life became increasingly metaphysical. Over the years, I have come to believe that much more exists than meets our limited awareness; the universe is not the mundane three-dimensional mechanistic place that it appears to be. Indeed, I believe it is filled with energy fields and forces we have yet to measure. It is through an examination of human interaction with these energies that, I believe, humanity will ultimately expand its understanding of consciousness. The primary goal of this paper is to describe what I believe we may find in these explorations: that consciousness is an active force that we can exert upon the universe, not merely a passive perception or awareness of that universe.

She discusses the importance of studying the Russian mystic, G. I. Gurdjieff’s work and his concept of the 4th way. “Amy Lansky’s new book is an inspiring and far-ranging investigation of contemporary consciousness research. In her program to spare us from the madness around us, she draws on Rudolf Steiner, Gurdjieff, Rupert Sheldrake, Dean Radin, and many others. She is also encouraging us to explore the transformation of our consciousness as a way to increase our peace of mind, happiness, and what the Buddhists call liberation from the wheel of suffering. Who would not want that?” — Russell Targ, author of Limitless Mind: A Guide to Remote Viewing and Transformation of Consciousness.

This progress has often resulted in a fragmentation of knowledge that has contributed to the creation of serious problems to the health and well being of our Planet. EZ water is simply water that is more polar, which means that the negative and positive charges are more separated than ordinary water. This results in a lot of interesting properties of the water… I’ve been appreciating the fact that many people with chronic health issues have low oxygen and this could be from bad blood flow, and we discuss how that may come from a lack of EZ water. Water inside our cells is more structured or ordered – it has a negative charge and functions like a battery. When you drink a vegetable juice, you are drinking cell water or EZ water – because plants have cells and the liquid inside of them are EZ….

A: Alas, yes. Sorry. However, if you like to lose, you’re still welcome to play against it, that’s why we put it on the list for you. Note that you have to use the most recent version of it that you can find, and, play it without restrictions, except for those which allow your computer to function.
6. Q: Are there any free chess programs that can beat Crafty?
A: There were. Slow Chess used to always win against it, but that was an older version of Crafty, 20.14. Since we found the newest version, 23.4, the situation has reversed, and now Slow Chess cannot beat Crafty anymore, but can draw with it. 2017 Update: if you want to do your own tests of the free Chess programs, we found many Chess engines here. There are 689 links on that page, and around 50 engines with descriptions and links. Details are here.

A: We want to show you that there are commercial firms who are developing alternative energy sources. If you’re reading this, and you are in a Government, you might be interested in using their services.
